Artist's Comments

So, I've stumbled across :iconvizen:s challenge a few days ago and this image poped into my mind.

Can you remember Luna in the OOtP Movie?
She was so cute and adorable! How could you not like her?
Especially when she gives everyone lectures about the Nargles 8)

This was in the movie near the end I think. At the end of term Luna is searching for her shoes, because her classmates allways hide them.
Poor Luna...

Oh, and this is my first try on perspective and wrapping textures, so don't be to hard on ist, if there's not everything right.

Technique:
Mixture of Manip and own drawings

Thanks a lot, to all of you!

Ahhh... Poor little Luna and her pink high top trainers. I hated that people were mean to Luna. She was so cute.

She never got angry at them, though...
I am not particularly fond of the movies, but if they got something right (besides Alan Rickman as Snape *cough*) it is certainly Evanna Lynch as Luna. I like her dreamlike gaze all troughout the movie :)

Well I'm one of those disagreeable people who actually strongly dislikes Rickman as Snape (not Rickman in general, he's lovely and scrumptious, but as Snape he is too old, and not near skinny enough), but I do agree with you about Evanna Lynch as Luna. She is exactly as I imagined the character when I was reading the books! In fact when asked if she ever thought about the actors from the movies when writing some of the later Harry Potter books, J.K. Rowling said that Evanna was the only one. After "Order of the Phoenix" came out, she said that is was Evanna's voice she heard in her head when she wrote Luna ;-).

Mhhh... you have a point here.
Snape in the movies is not like in the books at all.
But I think there are not as many actors that can impersonate his voice and sneer as wonderful as Rickman does.
And he can emanate that air of strictness and elegance without making so much as one move.
But in looks he is completely the wrong person to play Snape, I agree.

Did Evanna do other films before? I never heard of (or seen as a matter of fact) her anywhere.

no, she was a Harry Potter fan on mugglenet, and when they posted the open casting call announcement she went down and tried out, and got the part!
